Peninsula Friends of the Library Annual Meeting: Wednesday, June 26th

The annual meeting of the Peninsula Friends of the Library will be held on Wednesday June 26th, in the Peninsula Center Library Community Room. Please join us to hear what the Friends have accomplished this year and, most importantly, to participate in the election of the Board of Directors for 2019. You will have a chance to meet the directors and learn about opportunities to get involved with PFL and PVLD.

Annual meeting:   4:00 pm
Reception with refreshments:   4:30 to 5:00 pm

The election process is governed by Peninsula Friends of the Library Bylaws which require between 13 and 19 directors to serve on the board at any time. Board members are elected for a one-year term—July 1st through June 30th. Bylaws call for nominations for election of Directors to be presented by a Nominating Committee, but nominations from the floor at the annual meeting will be invited, though no one may be nominated without his or her prior consent. PFL bylaws require approval of the majority of members in attendance at the annual meeting to elect board members for the new term. Board officers are elected by and from the elected directors at the first meeting of the new board, which will be held on Thursday, July 11th.
