Living History Museum Of African American Heroes Celebrates 10 Years

Meet Rosa Parks, Misty Copeland, and Frederick Douglass at the library!

Each February, at the Living History Museum of African American heroes, children ages 5 to 14 portray their heroes and teach the community about them. We’re looking for kids to be part of the museum this year on February 24. They will work with community mentors to gain excellent presentation and research skills, learn the importance of history, become civically engaged, and of course, have fun! Students of all backgrounds in grades K through 8 from all school districts may participate.
