Friends of the Library

The Peninsula Friends of the Library hosts the last  monthly book used book sale with more than 25,000 books, DVDs, CDs, videos and records this weekend.

Friday and Saturday, December 16 and 17, 2011

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

2400 Via Campesina Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274

For the Malaga Cove regular shoppers, there have been lots of new donations, and there are also many mark downs to make room for the new stock. Featured are Christmas and holiday books, including unique cookbooks, featured for children and adults. In this age of re-purposing books and media, the fine selections available at Malaga Cove can make great holiday gifts. All proceeds from the Friends of the Library book sales benefit several programs at the Palos Verdes Library District.

Do you have books and media at home that you would like to donate? Drop them by the Malaga Cove Library Gallery area on week day mornings or call us to explore a pick up if you have large collections to donate. A donation slip will be issued for your taxes.

One of the things that make shopping at Malaga Cove’s book sales is the kitchen by the gallery. That’s where volunteer Pat Foltz always has free goodies, coffee and lemonade for shoppers.
